Ingredients
- 1 (12-count) package sweet Hawaiian rolls
- ½ to ¾ pound sliced ham, sliced thin
- ½ to ¾ pound Swiss cheese, sliced thin
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
- 1 tablespoon poppy seed
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1-2 teaspoon onion powder (or dried onion)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Spray a 9×13 pan with cooking spray and set aside
- The rolls will look like a large solid piece of bread. Leave the rolls intact and slice the loaf in half with a long serrated knife to form a top layer and a bottom layer. Do NOT pull the rolls apart, you want to keep them connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared pan
- Layer the ham and the cheese on the bottom layer of rolls, then place the top layer of rolls over the ham and cheese and set aside.
- In a small bowl add melted butter, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, onion powder, and whisk to combine. Slowly and evenly pour butter mixture over rolls. You can use a rubber spatula to spread the mixture over the rolls if needed. NOTE: some of the butter mixture will pool at the bottom of the pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese has melted and tops are golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before cutting. Serve warm.
Notes
These reheat well too, even in the microwave.
